Aidy, Christine and John have been working hard to bring forward a parking solution for Buckshaw Parkway, and to deliver on the campaign pledge whey made to residents.
Following on from our earlier updates, we have again raised the lack of funding and urgency at Chorley Council Full Council meeting where we sought assurances from the Labour run Council that they would make the necessary funds available to fund a solution, noting the £4.5m of developer funds generated by Buckshaw Village used to fund the development of Market Walk extension.
Sadly, no such assurances was forthcoming, but we keep on fighting, and are determined to push the Council to take the Options Report to the next stage. Given that the issue is now urgent with the car park full and vehicles again parking on surrounding roads.
