Andrew Snowden, the Conservative’s Council Candidate for Wheelton and Withnell in 2016, who led a series of passionate campaigns on dangerous driving, dog-fouling, flooding and spending on rural areas, will continue his fight as our County Council candidate for the new Hoghton with Wheelton division.
Andrew said “I am absolutely delighted to continue to stand up for the community i live in. I loved being the candidate for Wheelton and Withnell, working with so many residents on issues which were simply not being addressed properly. Although I didn’t quite win in 2016, I am not the type of person to leave with my tail between my legs. For me it’s not about the who wins, it's about who actually achieves something for the community they live in”.
Andrew’s popular ‘In Touch’ newsletter really connected with resident across the area, and he promises to continue this if elected as the County Councillor for Hoghton with Wheelton, which covers Brindle & Hoghton, Clayton North and Wheelton and Withnell.
The County Council elections, based on new boundaries, take place in May next year.
