Chorley Conservatives are contesting all Wards in the Chorley Borough Council elections being held on Thursday 3rd May 2012. Today we publish our candidates.
A by-election is being held too in Adlington and Anderton. Mike Devaney and Elliot Matthews are contesting the two vacancies. In 2008, Labour narrowly won the Ward with just a majority of just 24.
In other Wards, Barbara Catterall is a new face standing for Heath Charnock and Rivington who replaces current retiring Mayor Cllr Pat Case. Others defending their Conservative seats include David Dickinson in Brindle and Hoghton, John Walker in Clayton le Woods and Whittle Woods, Alan Cullens in Clayton North and Debra Platt in Euxton North.
In Chorley Town, Simon Parkinson is our candidate in Chorley East, Sandra Mercer in Chorley North East, and David Metcalfe in Chorley North West. New member Terry Cook is standing in Chorley South West and current county councillor Sam Chapman is standing again in Chorley South-East.
Peter Malpas is standing for the Conservatives in Liberal-Democrat held Coppull.
Elections are also being held in the South Ribble Constituency in the Chorley Borough Eccleston and Mawdesley and Lostock Wards.
