Lancashire County Council yesterday agreed to freeze their Council Tax again for their third year. This means that residents living in a Band A home will pay £61.57 a month* towards Lancashire County Council services, and residents in a Band D home £92.35 a month*.
Chorley Council have announced that they expect to freeze their rate, and the Combined Lancashire Fire and Rescue Authority announced their frozen budget on Monday. Only the Lancashire Police Authority agreed to raise their tax by 2.5%. Local parish councils are in the process of announcing there parish tax.
* Council tax is quoted over 12 months. Customers choose to either pay in full or over ten monthly payments.
