Regional charity Child Action North West needs your help to make Christmas for a child this year.
Child Action North West is a long established charity that is well known throughout the region for working with children growing up in challenging circumstances. The charity’s Familywise project works across Chorley and South Ribble, in partnership with local schools, and holds its annual party for children and their foster care families at St Mary’s Parish Centre in Chorley. The charity is looking for new toys, books, toiletries and confectionary for the children they support from toddlers through to teenagers.
In Chorley the appeal is being coordinated by Rob Loughenbury, prospective Conservative MP for Chorley. Rob explained:
“The gifts you donate will go to looked after children who cannot live with their birth families and other families in crisis at Christmas who might otherwise go without.
“We can all do something positive to help make Christmas for a child this year. Please try to buy just one extra good quality present when doing your Christmas shopping and take it to one of our collection points. The gift will be given to a child who otherwise might not get a present this year.”
The designated collection points for donations are:
- The Hub, Unity Place, Buckshaw Village, Chorley, PR7 7HZ
- Cakes by Ruth 20 St George's Street, Chorley, PR7 2AA
