Today, Parliament will vote on measures to introduce a new eligibility criteria for free school meals and the early years pupil premium, which will mean around 50,000 more children will benefit from a free school meal by 2022. Labour have been caught out making misleading claims about this by an independent fact-checker, showing once again that they won’t let facts get in the way of their political game-playing.
Channel4 FactCheck confirmed that NO ONE who currently gets free school meals as part of the early rollout of UC will lose them.
