Chorley Conservatives are set to meet early in February to interview applicants for the position of Parliamentary Candidate for Chorley.
The two-stage process will see applicants being interviewed by the executive body of the local Conservatives, with the successful shortlisted candidates going forward to a general meeting of qualifying members on Saturday 23rd February.
Chairman Peter Malpas said "We're really looking forward in having our candidate in place two years ahead of the General Election in 2015. In 2010 we only lost by 2,593, and as places like Buckshaw village continue to develop, Chorley will be a different town when electors are next asked to cast their vote. Above all, we are looking for a Conservative government, and Chorley is key in reaching that goal."
Chorley currently has 74,186 electors.
