Chorley's Labour Council have revealed in their monthly spending tables published in December that they bought two top-end Samsung 75 inch Ultra HD LED televisions for £4,599.52 before VAT - equivalent to £5,519.42 including VAT in the lives of Chorley's hardworking families.
That's £2,299.76 each before VAT (£2,759.71 including VAT).
Earlier last year the Council also bought the same model television but with a 65 inch screen size for £1,414.98 ex VAT, equivalent to £1,697.98 with VAT.
