Revised proposals for constituencies across Lancashire have been published, and are open to a second round of consultation until 11 December 2017.
As a result of knock-on proposed changes elsewhere in the county, boundary commissioners now recommend that the Eccleston and Mawdesley Ward, currently in the South Ribble constituency, joins Chorley. This would have the effect of increasing the new constituency electorate from 73,323 to 78,287 - just within the permitted range from 71,031 to 78,507.
