In draft plans published by the Boundary Commission for England both the Adlington and Anderton and Chorley North East Wards could be leaving the current Chorley Constituency.
It follows the need for the Chorley constituency to reduce in size from 77,994.
The initial proposal would return 74,868 voters.
In draft proposals published by the Boundary Commission for England, communities including Abbey Village, Adlington, Anderton, Anglezarke, Brinscall, Heapey, Higher Wheelton, Wheelton, part of Whittle-le-Woods, and Withnell would form the western fringe of a new West Pennine Moors constituency.
And Bretherton, Croston, Eccleston, Mawdesley and Ulnes Walton could return to the new Chorley Constituency from neighbouring South Ribble.
The proposals are now open for an initial eight-week public consultation. up to August 2nd 2021.
